How has your home changed?

We have all been through a lot, haven’t we? Life, as we knew it took a dramatic turn, so unexpectedly. For those we have lost or fallen ill, you are in our heartfelt thoughts. Everyone was changed in some way, and as we emerge from the protection of our homes changes are still taking place. Home life became work life. Dining tables evolved to work tables. We even used dining tables as a dining table perhaps for the first time in a long time. We defined the word living room…living in it every day! Homeschooling set priorities and new schedules. Video chats were for the play rooms not just the board rooms. The metamorphosis continues. What comes next and how do we incorporate the lessons learned about what we need vs. what we want?  We are sure you would agree these were the main themes of the quarantine: Stay Home (if you can). Be Clean. Find Sanctuary. How can we help you with this new reality? Maybe staring at the same walls for the last few months has given you the desire to refresh your space, or even overhaul it?  The hand-me-down sofa has seen its last days. The last leg of the dining table is on its literal last leg. Home offices are the new norm and need to be incorporated as we all discovered that, perhaps, we could work remotely. Easy to clean, easy to keep clean fabrics and finishes are more important than ever. We have them (and a lot of them). Some resist stains, some are spot cleanable with over the counter water-based solutions. Some are even odor resistant for our four-legged friends that nap with us on the sofa! Comfort, clean-able and functional are vital. But it can be pretty too! You have to walk in the door each day and say “ahhh”. Know you are safe and happy, and in your home, your haven. You should be able to open your eyes in the morning and look around to fresh surroundings after a great night sleep on a great quality mattress. We can help you get there. If we don’t learn something from the last few months, it would be a sad hiccup in our history. We should have eyes wide open to our environments, natural or man made.
